Dundas minerals - KALGOORLIE GOLD PROJECTS

Dundas Minerals has entered into an option agreement with ASX listed Horizon Minerals Limited (ASX: HRZ) to acquire an 85% interest in both the Bade-Powell and Windanya gold projects.

The projects host a combined 48,000 ounces of Inferred Gold Resources (JORC 2012). The Option period is 24 months (expiring August 2025), during which time Dundas Minerals must spend a minimum of $500,000 undertaking on-ground exploration.

BADEN POWELL  / SCOTIA

The Baden Powell / Scotia project area is located within the highly prospective Bardoc Tectonic Zone (“BTZ”), a major greenstone belt between Kalgoorlie and Menzies, approximately 60km north-west of Kalgoorlie. In September 2022, Horizon Minerals (ASX: HZN) announced a maiden JORC (2012) Inferred Mineral Resource or 23,000 ounces at the Baden Powell / Scotia project (595kt @ 1.2g/t Au at a 0.5g/t Au lower cut-off).

Since being acquired by Horizon Minerals in 2016 a significant review of the project area was completed, resulting in an enhanced understanding of the components influencing gold mineralisation. 4,181 metres of drilling comprising 47 Reverse Circulation (RC) and Aircore (AC) drill holes were completed by Horizon since 2017, culminating in the announcement of the maiden Inferred Mineral Resource in 2022.

RC drilling completed at the Baden Powell / Scotia project focussed on extensions at depth to the south of the historic shallow workings, and returned the highest grades, with the best result being:
     – 17m @ 3.00 g/t Au from 104m (including 7m @ 5.95 g/t Au from 111m)

At the Olympia prospect, located 2.5 km northeast of the Baden Powell Pit, shallow air-core drilling focussed on testing part of the 3,800 metres by 500 metres gold-in-soil auger anomaly (maximum assay 169 ppb Au) with anomalous levels of moderately oxidised quartz–sulphide related gold and supergene mineralisation intercepted at 50 to 70 metres vertical depth at grade up to 1.4 g/t Au.

WINDANYA

Windanya hosts a JORC (2012) Mineral Resource of 659kt @ 1.2 g/t Au for 25koz of gold at a 0.5 g/t Au lower cut-off. The Resource at Windanya is contained within the Capricorn deposit.

At Windanya, Horizon completed a first pass 5 hole RC program at the historic Capricorn Prospect in March and April 2019. Earlier drilling had delineated gold bearing quartz veins on the contact of an ultramafic and basaltic unit. Significant historical intercepts included:
     – 1m @ 9.5g/t Au from 36m
     – 1m @ 24.2g/t Au from 86m
     – 3m @ 3.35g/t Au from 66m

The drilling confirmed the tenor of mineralisation with results including:
     – 1m @ 9.91g/t Au from 35m and 1m @ 1.05g/t Au from 41m
     – 5m @ 2.28g/t Au from 92m and 1m @ 1.68g/t Au from 106m

In addition to the drilling, Horizon has also been actively exploring the entire Windanya tenement group having taken over 200 soil samples and rock chips in 2019.

Several anomalies coincident with interpreted structures were generated and remain to be tested.
